Highlights from the 2012 Finger Lakes Mud Run at Everest Park. 900 Mud Runners, 16 jaw-dropping obstacles, 2 challenging military-style trails, and 1 amazing day of fun in the mud!
The Finger Lakes Mud Run at Everest Park in Owasco, NY, takes a note from other similar runs such as Tough Mudder, Spartan Race, Warrior Dash and the Dirty Girl Mud Run, with two notable exceptions… it offers two courses instead of one, and is open to anyone age 13 and older.
Located just 20 minutes from Syracuse and central New York, Everest Park’s natural terrain and trails provide the perfect backdrop for any obstacle course, trail run or mud run. Rollling hills and flatlands, short but steep embankments and gullies, natural forest areas and 160 acres of available space all combine to create an outstanding setting for any mud run, trail run, or obstacle course.
The Finger Lakes Mud Run at Everest Park is a fund raising event for the Brian Bisgrove Home of Courage. The Bisgrove Home of Courage is a handsomely-appointed home that can be used completely free of charge by central New York families whose children have life-altering illnesses or medical conditions.
What separates the Finger Lakes Mud Run from other runs such as the Spartan Race, Warrior Dash, Tough Mudder or Dirty Girl Mud Run is its smaller number of participants, and location away from large cities, despite being in the heart of central New York and close to Syracuse..
